THE EXPLANATION:
1. See page 150 for directions or substitute any introduction given there.
2. a) First lady and gentleman step backwards from each
other for four steps, then forward and take regular dance position and swing twice around. They then advance to second couple.
b) First lady steps to the middle of the ring formed by the first gentleman and the second couple who join hands. As the three circle to the left, she turns to the right.
c) The first lady steps out of the ring and takes the first gentleman's place as he steps in to the middle. The new three circle left while he turns to the right.
d) The first gentleman steps out and takes his place in the ring between the two ladies. All four continue circling to the left.
e) See page 160 for directions.
f) First couple go on and repeat the figure with the third couple, then with the fourth couple, and return to their original place in the square.
